He was predeceased by: his mother Emily Emmel (Dixon); his wife Sandra E. Cox Emmel; and his siblings, David Aaron Emmel, Carrie Emmel and Donna Emmel.
He is survived by: his father Donald Emmel of Yuma, AZ; his daughter Angela Emmel (Kyle Harris) of Wallkill; and his stepsiblings, David Heiligenthal of Corona, CA, Nadine Ruiz of Germantown, MD and Melissa Heiligenthal of Villa Rica, GA..
