He was predeceased by: his parents, Darius "Red" Patterson and Hazel Morgan Patterson; his sisters, Grace and J. Clawson (Marjorie Patterson); and his grandson George Darius Patterson III.
He is survived by: his close friend Roseanne Stockhofer; his children, Tammy Ceretta (Lou), George Jr., Christy Patterson (Donnelly) and Annette Stockhofer; his grandchildren, Jessica, Collin, Matthew, Logan, Camryn, Ayden, Ashley, Brandon, Tyler (Katy) and Christopher; his great grandchildren, Liam and Mason; his sister Helen Mae Brundage; and his pet Bella.
