It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Furman of Walden, New York, born in Middletown, New York, who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd W. Furman, Sr. and Bessie L. Furman (Callender); his wife Louise A. Shepard; his brothers, Alfred Furman and Lloyd W. Furman, Jr.; and his stepchildren, Diane Jones, Frank Cowan, David Cowan and Kevin Cowan.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy A. Itzla of Middletown, NY, Linda Harahan of Middletown, NY, Marcy Furman of Brewster, NY, Lisa Diggle of Walden, NY, John A. Furman of Newburgh, NY and Greg A. Furman of Wallkill, NY; and his stepsons, John H. Cowan, Richard Cowan and Chuck Cowan. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to the public health concerns of the Corona Virus (Covid-19), memorial services for John will be private.
