She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Mehl and Gladys Howard Mehl; her husband Edward "Eddie" Menendez; her daughter Melissa Menendez of Walden; her sister-in-law Carol Menendez; her nieces and nephews, Leon Mehl, Jr., Arnold Mehl (Eva), Carol Mehl-Duke (Dennis), Claire Dubnick (Steve), Ed Menendez (Kathy), Michael Menendez (JoAnne), Dan Menendez (Susan), Steve Menendez (Helen) and Matt Menendez (Rebecca); and her brothers, George and Leon Mehl.
