She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace Thomas and Floyd Thomas; and her siblings, Eunice, Margaret, James and Robert.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Place; her friend Bridge; her children, Suzanne and James (Sharon); her grandsons, Michael and David Place; her niece Holly Jones; and also, Charles, Mary Place, Robert and Matthew.
