He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Kotasek; his parents, Katherine Kotasek and Mathew Kotasek; and his siblings, Sophie Comfort, John and Louis Kotasek.
He is survived by: his children, Karen, John and Joseph Kotasek (Linda); his grandchildren, Maureen McKeown (Matthew), Matthew Miernicki, Daniel, Julie, Kait and Kaleb Kotasek; and his siblings, Peter, Karl, Thomas Kotasek, Frances Vlasak and Marie Nersesian (Roy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
