He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis Smith and Gertrude Smith; his wife Mary; his children, Gerri Smith, Tom Smith (Lydia), Patrick Smith (Christine) of Annapolis, MD and Mary Shunk (Steve) of Willow Springs, NC; his daughter-in-law Jeanne Spleen of Wexford, PA; his brother-in-law Thomas Kilpatrick; his sons, Francis and Michael; and his friends, Susan, David, Jackie, Michelle, Shawn, Lisa, Marie, Mike, Ken, Tonya and Wen. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren.
