He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Helen M. Grant; his sister Carol Kershner (Dan); his father Robert Grant Sr.; and his siblings, Bob Grant Jr. and Rita Grant. He was also cherished by five nieces and two nephews; many great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and good friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks those to make a donation in Michael's memory to the Tompkins County or Schuyler County SPCA's.
