It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Patrick Stewart (Thornwood, New York), born in New York, New York, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Terence Stewart and Anna Stewart; his brother Robert "Bobby" Stewart; his sister-in-law Susan Stewart; and his nephew James "Jimmy" Stewart.

He is survived by: his siblings, Terence "Terry" Stewart (Barbara Hunt), Eileen Polian (William) and Patrick Stewart (Kristen); his nieces and nephews, Suzanne Henry (Brian), Lynn Polian, Chris Polian (Debbie), Kathleen Fleming (Michael), Brian Polian (Laura), Dennis Polian (Jenny) and Amelia Finnigan (Riley); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tara, Sean, Brendan Henry, Annie, Will Clouden, Jack, Caroline, Kate Polian, Aidan, Charlotte Polian, Finnegan, Miller Polian and Baby Boy Finnigan.

“I met Tom on September 12, 1961, the day we entered Saint Gabriel's Juniorate. Tom had a great sense of humor. He bantered with teachers and students alike. He was an avid reader; he devoured books by the week. He brought that love of Literature to the classroom first at Saint Raymond's Elementary and then the High School. I would meet Tom in a pub for a lunch every June 7th. Some times we would go to West Park to visit a classmate. Rest in peace, Tom. May God be holding you in his hands”
