She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Wells and Frederick Tucker, Sr.; her stepfather John Betsey, Sr.; her son Donnell Gary; and her grandson Antwon Gary.
She is survived by: her children, Schantina Jamison, Felicia Gary (Wilma), Valerie Gary, Charles Gary, Jr. (Rebecca) and Miranda Brown Tompkins. She is also survived by five sisters; six brothers; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
