He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Brunell Pontius; and his children, Richard (Kathy), Bob, John (Betsy), Jim, Chuck, Peter (Missy), Karen Filapello (Vince), Michelle Brewster (Tom) and Ruth Thompson (Pat). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
