He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his daughter Theresa Sak-Hagen; and his siblings, Mary Cary, Helen McAuliff and Edward Marlin.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Rocco (Robert), Donna Sak and John Sak Jr.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
