She was predeceased by: her husband Wendell. She is survived by: her children, Steven Richards (Jayne), Carol Chekan (Tom) and Jim Richards; and her grandchildren, Sharlene, Zoe, Lindsey and Alex. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“During my tenure at occ, evelyn was the thread that held a temperamental art department together. She performed duties that were far beyond what was expected of her and she was wonderful with students who were having academic problems. She will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate to know her and those who were fortunate to work with her. Her smile and cheerfulness were infectious and a delight. Jim cody professor retired”
