Donna Marie Reese Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna Marie Reese (Syracuse, New York), who passed away on January 31, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Warren-DuBose and Betty Jane Warren-DuBose; and her siblings, Patricia DuBose, Rueben DuBose and Bernice Sheard.
She is survived by: her husband Duane Reese Sr.; her children, Duane L. Reese II (Paula), Tequila Pease and Tamara Reese (Joe); and her siblings, Margaret 'Peggy Chappel (LeMichael), Andy DuBose, Betty DuBose, Patricia McIntyre, Janice Thomas, Jean Kessner, Barrie Gewanter and Dr. Rick. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Her work with the mentally disabled at Hutchings Psychiatric Center laid the foundation for her later advocacy that transformation into a full-fledged community activism.
