With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Bernard Witkop of Stillwater, New York, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on December 29, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Witkop and Grace Fitzpatrick Witkop; his sister Marilyn Santagato; and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Catherine "June" Vano.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Vano Witkop; his son James Witkop (Lois) of Fairfax, VA; his grandchildren, Benen, Regan Witkop, Annabelle and Genevieve Sala; his siblings, Marjorie Lane (Norman) and Robert Witkop (Beverly); and his brothers-in-law, Frank Santagato and James Vano (Ruth). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard Assoc, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871 in memory of Daniel Witkop. Donations are being accepted for: THE COMMUNITY HOSPICE INC SARATOGA NATIONAL CEMETERY HONOR GUARD ASSOCIATION.
