He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, J. Frederick Elliston and Phyllis Austin; his wife Jeanette Elliston; his children, Robert Elliston (Nikki), Sheila Baker (Jon) and Brandi Mesner (Jason); and his brothers, Philip Elliston and David Elliston. He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
