He is survived by: his wife Doris (C. Berkeley); his sister Jean Mayes; his children, Walter Maclean (Ann) and Pamela Chan (Frederick); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Margaret Chan and Ian Maclean (Kayla); and his stepgrandson Cole Fiedler (Megan). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in his memory to either the Yosemite Conservancy or the SNAME Walter M. and Doris H. Maclean Graduate Scholarship.
