He was predeceased by: his wife Joan P. Shannon. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Shannon Haskell (Patrick), John P. Shannon, Jr. (Joyce) and Patrice Shannon; his siblings, Eileen Morgan, Kathleen Ross and Edward Shannon; and his grandchildren, McKenzie Franck, Erin Shannon and Rachael Shannon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
