He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ormsby and Fayetta Barber Ormsby; his siblings, Lenny Ormsby (Dot), Larry Ormsby (Shirley), Edna Bennett (Walt), Marion Warner (Ray) and Dorothy Gagne (Herb); his son-in-law Andy Okosky; and his granddaughter Tiffany Rose.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peg" Ormsby; his children, Donald Ormsby Jr. (Rose), Donna Okosky, William Ormsby (Moe), Cathy Wood, Mary Ormsby and Edward Ormsby; and his grandchildren, Dawn, Amanda, Drew, Echo, Bill, Lisa, Jamie, Fay, Jimmy, Richard, Taylor, Tyler, Kelly Jo and Teasa. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
