He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry McKelvey and Agnes McKelvey (Armstrong); his wife Diana M. McKelvey; and his siblings, Harry McKelvey and Mary Houseknecht.
He is survived by: his sons, John H. McKelvey, Jr. (Jill) of Glendale, AZ and Edward McKelvey (Colette) of Rotterdam Junction, NY; and his grandchildren, Eric (Julie), Ryan, Kyle (Rachel Kremer) and Shannon (Marc Case). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
