He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alphonse Rotter, and Florence Rotter, Sr.; his wife Margaret Rotter (Peggy); his children, Beth Schultz (Ed), Marie Pieniazek (Jim), Ann Budniewski (Gerard) and Dan Rotter (Laura); and his siblings, Pat Wnuk (Joe), Georgette Rotter, Stanley Rotter, Paula Merriman and Bob Rotter. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
