Joseph Ropitzky Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Ropitzky (Schaghticoke, New York), who passed away on May 1, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Anita Plouffe Ropitzky of Cohoes; his children, Raymond Ropitzky (Anna) of Eagle Bridge, JoAnne Wei (Eugene) of Cohoes and Pauline Carknard (late Vincent) of Buskirk; his grandchildren, Michael Ropitzky, Vincent Carknard (Kristen), Joshua Carknard, Greg Carknard (Jesika) and Amanda Summersell (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Kathleen, Clara, Vincent, Madison, Grayson and Mason; and his brother George Ropitzky (Judy) of North Hoosick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, current services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 119 Broad Street, Waterford New York 12118 in his memory.
