With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Rell of Saugerties, New York, born in Catskill, New York, who passed away on January 20, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Garrison and John Hodor; and his siblings, Barbara (Bobbie), Claudette, Charles, Richard, Judy, Midge, Barry and Jean.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, John Rell Jr. (Kari) of Saugerties, Doug Rell (Bianca) of Cairo, Bret Rell (Amy) of Saugerties, Lance Rell (Judy) of Saugerties and Michael Sullivan (Janet) of Palenville; his grandchildren, James (Elspeth), John III, Helene "Laina" (Ben), Annike, Kristiane "Monkey", Douglas Jr. "Buckeroo", Mallory "Pinky" (Tim), Shai Mary (Jeffrey), Jack Michael, Kristin "Marie" (Lorin "Olin"), Bret Jr. "Buckster", Veronica and Tavin "Taverino"; his great grandchildren, Ragnar and Finn; and his sister Joan Lanuto (Mike) of Catskill. He is also survived by his son's wives as his daughters.
