He is survived by: his wife Jill Ahearn Yates; his children, Colleen Firehock (Shawn) of Wilton and Timothy Yates (Colleen) of Saratoga Springs; his grandchildren, Grace, Caroline, Patrick, Catie Firehock, Fiona, Brendan and McKinley Yates; his siblings, Michael Yates (Kathleen) of Saratoga Springs and Teresa Marchione (Peter) of Round Lake; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Yates of Clifton Park, Zita LeFebvre of California, Karen Stalter (David) of So and Carolina.
