It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Schmidt (Saranac Lake, New York), born in New Rochelle, New York, who passed away on July 9, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Schmidt and Lucy Schmidt (Gerstner); his wife Marian Elizabeth Torkelson; his children, Donald Schmidt (Barbara) of Saranac Lake, Rick Schmidt (Debbie) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Steven Schmidt (Mickey) of Saranac Lake and Christine Ann Meclenburg; and his sister Barbara Ann Schmidt. He was also cherished by 9 Grand Children and 16 great grandchildren.
