He was predeceased by: his parent Aloysius McVeigh; and his sister Mary "Betty" Parks. He is survived by: his parent Florence Jay McVeigh (Nee); his wife Rose McVeigh (Bugiada); and his children, Cathleen McVeigh (Harvey Cohen), Nathan Cohen, Evelyn Cohen, Theresa Trauner (Gary Trauner), Benjamin Trauner, Aaron Trauner, Patricia Lynch, Erin, Brendan, Megan and Shannon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the Alzheimer's Research Association 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601 Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home Thursday, September 20, from 4-7pm.
