It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kaitlyn Mendoza (Rego Park, New York), born in Forest Hills, New York, who passed away on August 18, 2021, at the age of 17, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her parents, Elizabeth and Orlando; and her brother Matthew.

A foundation will be set up in Kaitlyn's name to help offset the costs of playing tennis and make the sport more accessible to children.

It was heart breaking when we all found out this promising girl was taken from this world--the grief was real with us, and it hurts thinking about how bad this must be for her family.
