He was predeceased by: his parents, John Docherty and Margaret Docherty (Oliver). He is survived by: his wife Theresa Marino; his children, Theresa Docherty (Osvaldo), Mary Swanzey (Kevin), John Docherty (Deirdre), Michael Docherty (Rosa) and Kathryn Docherty; his grandchildren, Brighid Docherty, Nolan Docherty (Robyn), Michael Docherty, Thomas Docherty, Robert Docherty, Daniel Swanzey and David Swanzey; and his sister Margaret Docherty. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
