He is survived by: his wife Susan Benson; his children, Kayleigh Sawicki (Andrew) of Clifton Park, Shelby Benson (Dane Menia) of Clifton Park, Ryan Benson (Amanda) of Virginia, Sharif Mohamed of Brunswick and Richard Bishop of Brunswick; his granddaughter Clara Mae Sawicki; and his brother Donald Benson (Donna) of Latham.
