He was predeceased by: his parent Philip B. Caird; and also Marjorie MacAskill Caird. He is survived by: his parent Gladys M. Phillips Caird; his children, Joseph Brant Caird, Troy Caird, James Farnam Caird (Kristin) and Jane Katherine Champagne (David) of Brunswick, NY; and his grandchildren, Katherine Grace, Sophie Love Champagne, Emily Ann Caird and Teegan Mae Caird.
