He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay and Elsie LaForest, Sr. (Mayo); his sons, Trent and Todd LaForest; his siblings, Roland Laforest, Gordon Laforest, Sandra Timmons, Joan Girard, Gloria Wike and Barbara Laforest; and his great grandchild Tori Lynn.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Laforest; his children, Terry "Joe" LaForest (Ruth) of Sciota, Tony "Bubs" LaForest (Donna) of Sciota, Timothy "Hap" LaForest (Chris) of Sciota, Hope LaForest of Beekmantown and Julie Jubert (James) of Altona; his siblings, Larry LaForest (Jill) of Dayton, Margaret "Peg" (George) of Rouses Point and Betty Miner of West Chazy; and his caregivers, Heather, Chris, Katie, Dr. Maurice Racine and Dr. Joel Wolkowicz. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
