It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erma B. Byrd (Plattsburgh, New York), born in Churchville, Virginia, who passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Byrd; her son William Byrd; her sisters, Catherine Peters, Francis Henderson and Wanda Evelyn Hetrick (Bright); her grandmother Lena Rowe; and her parents, Robert Homer Bright and Mary Elizabeth Gough.
She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie Gero; her children-in-law, Victor Gero and Lynn Byrd; her siblings, Barbara Morgan, Kenneth and Kelly Cain; and her grandchildren, Christine Gero, Steven Gero, Tiffany Provost, Kimberly, Patrick Cornell, Jennie, Miguel Chinchilla and Heidi Brassard. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Donations in Erma's memory may be made to Meals on Wheels or the Lyon Mountain Fire Department.
