She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Wardell and Agnes Wardell (Drollette); her half-siblings, Elmer Gagnier (Florence), Kenneth Gonyea (Mary), Harry Gagnier (Julia) and Esther Wolcott (Ralph); and her daughter-in-law Melanie "Mel" Dowdle.
She is survived by: her sons, James Dowdle (Lisa) of Plattsburgh and Dale Dowdle (Kim) of Plattsburgh; her grandchildren, Rebecca Gomes (Mario), Alison Rodriguez (Jordan), William Dowdle (Stacy), James Dowdle and Hillary Dowdle; and her friend Veronica Rothermel (Ronnie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
