He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur LaJoy, and Victoria LaJoy, Sr. (LaBounty); his former wife Veronica (Macey); his wife Elizabeth (McBride); his sister Patricia Girard; and his son Thomas LaJoy.
He is survived by: his brother Robert LaJoy (Louise) of Plattsburgh; his daughters, Sherry Long of Syracuse and Judy Varno (Mark) of Peru; his grandsons, Andrew and Alexander LaJoy; his stepchildren, Vern Lashway and Debbie Carpenter (Larry); his stepgrandchildren, Melissa Erickson and Ben Laundry; and his stepgreat-grandson Leo Erickson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
