She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Lyon; her parents, George Carter and Elizabeth Carter; and her sisters, Lois Brown and Marguerite Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce, Richard, Cynthia Hickey (Daniel), Janice Linn (Gary) and James; her grandchildren, Emily Thompson, Rachel Shanley (Jason) and Kennedy Lyon; and her great grandchildren, Calissa, Gracyn and Turner.
