He was predeceased by: his wife Monica [Pepe] Alva; his parents, Hyman Alva and Anna [Cohen] Alva; his sister Sara Ouriel (Izzy); and his brothers-in-law, Ted Levinson and Phil Weinstein.
He is survived by: his daughter Vicki Alva (Daniel Brown); and his sisters, Tillie Levinson and Rachel Weinstein. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces and dear friends.
