She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Sykes and Clara Sykes; her in-laws, Clifford and Lily Dudley; her brothers, Malcolm Sykes and Gordon; and her siblings-in-law, Joan Sykes, James Steger and Robert Dudley.

She is survived by: her husband John Alan Dudley; her children, Michael Dudley (Joanna), Amy Dudley (Dan Stenglein), Peter Dudley (Tracy) and Jennifer Newhart (Luke); her grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Emma Mulvehill, Emily, Abigail, Caroline Dudley, Nolan, Kyleigh Dudley and Aubrey Newhart; her sister Mary Steger; and her sister-in-law Elaine Sykes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Chrystal also served her community well as a Cub Scout leader, caring for babies at Daystar, blood donation, apheresis, crocheting hats and scarves for those in need, and welcoming anyone to her table.
