With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia May Gleisner of Philadelphia, New York, born in Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on December 5, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Karl Simms and Caroline Kolb Simms; her husband Howard C. Gleisner; her children, Bonnie Ferrell of Sarasota, FL, Howard "Bud" (Jeanne Gleisner), William "Bill" Gleisner (Julie Genter), Gary (Tammy Gleisner), Elaine (Randy Horton), Darlene (Nathan Snyder), Shelly Gleisner of Philadelphia, NY and Lynn (Gregory McMillan); her sister Lois "Daisy" Wolfe of Oberlin, OH; her pet Jack; her adoptive son Jean Lawler of Philadelphia, NY.; her children-in-law, Rick Ferrell and Carm Gleisner; her granddaughter Jodi Gleisner; and her siblings, Jean Lescher, Delores Ballentyne, Janice Schlechter, Donald "Bus" Simms and Karl Simms, Jr.. She was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
