It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanita Slade of Philadelphia, New York, born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2020, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Devore and Minnie Devore; her former spouse Broadus Edmond, Sr.; and her husband Clifton Slade. She is survived by: her child Broadus Edmond, Jr.; her grandson Roger; her nieces, Minnie Furhman and Barbara Clemens; her grandchildren, Lisa, Hope (Roger) and Isaiah (Shakeera Edmond); her great grandchild Nadia; and her daughter-in-law Virginia Edmond. She is also survived by twelve siblings, two brothers and ten sisters.
