It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mercedes Light of Peru, New York, born in Chateaugay, New York, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Sweet and Frances Sweet (Arno); her siblings, Gertrude Adams, Myrtle Murray, Alfred Sweet and Beatrice O'Neill; and her great grandchild Zoey Light.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Light, Sr.; her siblings, Reginald Sweet, Judy Nelson and Lee Sweet; and her children, Betty Stine (Leon), Brian Light (Kathleen), Julie Dumas (Ron) and Robert Light, Jr. (Janelle). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
