She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Cruz Quintero and Roberto Garcia; her stepfather Alberto Quintero; and her brother Fanor Garcia Mora. She is survived by: her husband Manuel F. Zapata; her children, Manuel (Zetty), Katherine Morris (William), Juan Carlos (Arlene), Monica De La Cruz (Rafael) and Roberto (Clarissa); her grandchildren, Lauren, Thomas, Kenneth Preston Jr., Christine, Rachel, David Morris, Matthew Morris, Samuel, Harith, Jefferson De La Cruz, Yasmine De La Cruz and Catalina; her siblings, Martha Yale (John) and Adalberto Quintero; and her nephew Patrick Yale.
