He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marie "Gladys" Callahan Manning; his children, Kathleen Roberts (Stephen), Robert Manning (Karen), Carol Moran (John Leddy) and Gregory Manning (Christine); his grandchildren, Jenna, Bryan, Patrick, Christopher, Kathryn, Steven and Gregory Jr.; his great grandchildren, Aspen, Nola and Liam; his mother Anna Donnellen-Manning; and his siblings, James, John, Hugh and Muriel.
