He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Debra; his children, Joshua Smith (Shyla), Joelle Mohr (Michael) and Jeremy Merriam; his grandchildren, Elijah, Eva, Lilly, Nastasha, William and Liam; his mother Gertrude Merriam; his mother-in-law Helen "MeMa" Capalario; his siblings, Charles Merriam (Anna), Betty Weston (David), Dorothy Simonsen (Dick), Susan Schaffer, Edward Merriam (Linda) and Lisa Kuryla (Philip); his father Edgar Merriam, Sr.; and his father-in-law Joel Capalario. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
