He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Gradel and Bethli Gradel (Hirschi); and his siblings, John Gradel, Gertrude Beebe, Ferdinand Gradel and Andrew Gradel.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Gradel (Sokoloski); his children, Teresa (Allan Wallace), Susan (Peter Giliberti) and Frank Gradel (Jeanne Hillman); his grandchildren, Frances Wallace, Michelle, David O'Neill, Phil, Melissa Wallace, Stephen and Jessica Giliberti; and his great grandchildren, Avery, Blake, Ren and Nathan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
