She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Strong; her son Christopher Strong; her siblings, Leroy, Salva, Teresa, Linda, James and Chester; her son-in-law Jim Shumway; and her parents, Merritt Vargason and Amy Mae Vargason (Baldwin).
She is survived by: her children, Harold David (Sheree Strong), Karen Shumway, Kathy (Richard Lapcevich) and Lynda (Mark Stickler); her adoptive son Anthony Strong; her close friend Eugene Vreeland; her siblings, Lois Holmes, Merritt, Jr. (Sharon Vargason), Gary (Charlotte Vargason), Mary Alverado and John (Joann Vargason); and her sister-in-law Kay Vargason. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
