It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anthony Ponzi of Oswego, New York, who passed away on May 26, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Ponzi and Amelia Ponzi (Bellardino); and his siblings, Clara DeStephen Rupert, Louise DelNero, Rita Johnson, Barbara Ponzi, Mary Flett, Leonard, Floyd "Weno", Francis "Lala" and Joseph.

He is survived by: his sister Delores Fitzgerald. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Oswego has lost one of its unselfish heroes. Butch was one of a kind. He was the kind of man who you could count on. He loved sports and spent his entire life working to promote amateur sports in Oswego County. He had the opportunity to play on some very good "SoftBall Teams" that he helped make "Great"! Even after his retirement as Oswego Recreation Manager, he donated his time and energy- No task was too hard when it came to his involvement! Rest in Peace Old Friend Joe Corradino + Family”
