He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Furman; and his children, J. D. Furman III, Reverend Henry P. Furman, Joanne Aimee Hanna (Paul Hanna), Michelle Veeck (Alan Veeck Jr.) and Manus Alexander Furman (Theresa Furman). He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren.
