She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Johnathan Dean and Patricia Dean (Hulbert); her husband Donald Starr Jr.; her children, Donnie Starr (Gill), Nicole Starr (Ron) and Brittany Starr (Gio); her grandchildren, Draimyne, Gabriella, Oliviah and Avayah; and her siblings, Johnny (Elaina) and Sandy Malette (Kelly). She was also cherished by many other nieces, nephews, and other family members.
