He was predeceased by: his father Albert R.; and his brother-in-law Bobby Dunn. He is survived by: his mother Carol J. Ostrander Sr. (Seabrook) of Vernon Center; his children, Jeff Ostrander (Kelly) of New York Mills, Tracy Sharlette (Parish) of Oneida and Jodie Tiffin (Jason) of Oneida; his grandchildren, Alexandria, Adriana, Nathan, Derek, Camryn, Connor and Cameron; his siblings, Amy Aversa (David) of Clinton, Albert Ostrander Jr. (Linda) of Georgia, Douglas Ostrander of Vernon Center, Donald Ostrander of Oklahoma and Christopher Ostrander (Ellyn) of Clay; his siblings-in-law, Sue White (Larry) of Durhamville and Bud Dunn (Darlene) of Oneida; and also Linda.
