He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Searl and Lavina Payne Searl; his daughter Annette Searl; and his siblings, Richard, James Searl and Margaret Payne (Ted).
He is survived by: his wife Catherine A. Capron; his son Eugene; his daughter-in-law Karen Searl of Oneida; his grandchildren, Loren Searl, Dennis Searl (Shauna), Kyle Wilcox, Karissa Robinson (Misty), Marissa Levasseur (Tim), David Robinson and Kaylie Desjardins (Nick); and his great grandchild Aribella. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
